Scan to Email with Optimum

Recently Optimum made some changes to how their Email Servers work. These instructions will get your copy machine scanning again with optimum email service.

Log into the Command Center using Username: Admin & Password: Admin
Select “Email” from under the “Functions Settings” drop down.
Select the “Protocol” Link to move to the protocols page
Scroll Down to “Send Protocols” and select the “SMTP Security” drop down. From here you need to select “SSL/TLS”. Once selected, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit”
Once you SSL/TLS Protocol has been submitted, navigate back to the Email page.
Change your “SMTP Server Name” to mail.optimum.net Then Change your “SMTP Port Number” to 465 Once both are changed, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Submit” Once the page reloads, click the “Test” Button to test the settings.
You should now see “Connection OK” once you see this screen you can close the Command Center, and scanning will be working on your copy machine. If you are receiving an 4803 error, please follow the instructions from this link to change TLS settings.
